« We reduced powdery mildew pressure by more than 50%. After several applications, the powdery mildew retreated and then stopped on the young leaves, particularly on the CLODANO cluster variety. What’s more, OPTIPLANT® is a rational approach compatible with the implementation of an integrated protection strategy (contribution of beneficial insects, etc.). It is now a vital component of my powdery mildew management strategy  on tomatoes in my quest to achieve zero pesticide residues in the fruit. »

The farmer's objective

Target the use of zero pesticides via rational solutions.

Agricultural practice

In an enclosed greenhouse occupying a total area of 10,000 m2 (4,300 m2 + 5,700 m2), the SUMMER SUN (yellow cherry tomato) and SASSARI (red cherry tomato) varieties were grown from mid-December 2015 to mid-March 2016, i.e. a period of 4 months. The dose of OPTIPLANT® used was 1.5 cc/litre (spray) every 8 to 9 days and the quantity of water was between 550 and 600 litres per hectare.
